Installation
You fit the Fujifilm XF 14mm F2,8 R gear by hand. Lay the lens on its front element, guide the ring over the focus ring and press it flat all the way around. The video walks you through each step.
Use the Fujifilm XF 14mm F2,8 R gear with any follow focus or focus motor that drives a standard Mod 0.8 gear. That covers the Tilta Nucleus-M and Nucleus Nano, DJI focus motors, wireless units from SmallRig and classic follow focus units on 15mm rods. The ring sits on the lens and meshes with the drive gear of your system.
This flexible gear is 0.28 in thick and 0.39 in high (7 × 10 mm). It fits a focus ring 2.48–2.56 in (63–65 mm). If your ring measures differently, get in touch with us and we will help you find the right fit.
Universal rubber bands close with an overlap, and that seam makes them awkward to fit. If the band sits crooked, you lose the last bit of focus travel at either end. A gear sized for the Fujifilm XF 14mm F2,8 R closes cleanly and gives you the full focus throw.

How it works
Most photo lenses have a smooth focus ring, and a follow focus cannot grip it. The gear turns that ring into a toothed one. A follow focus unit or focus motor can then drive the Fujifilm XF 14mm F2,8 R precisely and bring it back to the same mark every time.
