Follow focus gears made to fit the focus and zoom rings of your photo lenses. Search your lens or pick your brand.
Sony mirrorless cameras are everywhere in run-and-gun video, and most Sony lenses use a focus-by-wire ring that has no hard stop. A gear on the ring still gives you a repeatable grip for a follow focus or motor, and many shooters add one to their G Master and FE zooms for gimbal work. We list gears for about forty Sony lenses, including Zeiss-branded ZA models for E-mount.
The FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM uses 3.07–3.15 in (78–80 mm) on the focus ring and 2.95–3.03 in (75–77 mm) on the zoom ring. The FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS is 3.07–3.15 in (78–80 mm) on both rings. Primes are smaller: the FE 85mm f/1.8 needs 2.95–3.03 in (75–77 mm), and the FE 35mm f/1.8 sits at 2.48–2.56 in (63–65 mm).
Mod 0.8 teeth mesh with standard follow focus units and wireless motors. Orders ship from Texas, normally arrive within 3–5 days, ship free in the US from $60 and can be returned within 14 days.

A follow focus gear adds a toothed ring to the focus or zoom ring of your photo lens. A follow focus, wireless motor or lens servo can then turn the lens smoothly, the way you would on a cine lens.
